Superarts Academy of Performing Arts, founded in 1962 by Irene Hayes BEM, has gained a reputation for quality and care. A place where children, from all cultures, religions and backgrounds can feel at home. Superarts is based at St John’s Centre, Larcom Street SE17 1NQ. In a well-equipped dance studio, with mirrors, ballet barres and sprung flooring. Superarts offers classes to young people aged 3 – 18 yrs+ - from Ballet to Tap, Street to Acrobatics/Gymnastics, and Jazz to the very popular Musical Theatre. The classes are fun, disciplined, challenging, interactive and most of all creative, supportive, and nourishing. With the main focus on dance in a respectful community setting, each child’s creative potential can be explored, promoting both physical and emotional well-being. Besides obtaining a high standard of tuition, our students have the opportunity to appear in numerous shows & events. With Superarts Agency, our students also have opportunities to appear in commercials, TV, Film and West End hits such as Matilda, Lion King, School of Rock and more.
