Mercato Metropolitano

Our first permanent site on Newington Causeway, Elephant & Castle opened in late 2016, on the site of a disused paper factory.

With an area totalling 45,000 sq ft Mercato Metropolitano is home to more than 40 vendors, a micro-brewery and a number of community projects.

You can try dishes from around the world at MM, created using fresh ingredients that are locally-sourced. To discover flavours from Italy to Japan, Colombia to Germany, Vietnam to Argentina, and many more, come and explore our MMarketplace. Outside of mealtimes, MM spaces are places for the local community to live, socialise, and learn, thus ensuring the market is a hive of activity even in off-peak hours.
